The Board
Proef de Liefde is created and curated by three strong women with experience in various facets of organizing and working with NGOs. The diverse backgrounds of these women—in terms of experience, knowledge, and areas of interest, as well as relationships, love, and sexuality—ensure that Proef de Liefde is organized in all its breadth and with love.
Nina, Chair and Lead Production
Nina is an experienced organizer who was previously involved with Blasphemy Events, Stichting de Buurtcamping, and de Vrijplaats in Leiden. At Buurtcamping Zuiderpark, she gained extensive experience with larger-scale productions. Additionally, she organizes non-profit parties for the queer and polyamorous communities, with attendances ranging from 50 to 500 visitors. Sustainability and accessibility are guiding values for her. Nina is a connector and community creator through and through.
Monica, Secretary and Fundraising Lead
Monica brings broad knowledge of NGO and non-profit management and has extensive experience with community-centered program design. Inclusivity is a guiding value for her. She is active in the queer and poly communities, involved in the International Polyamory Meet-up, and organizes PolyTalks, a discussion group on polyamory. Additionally, she has experience in fundraising.
Frieda, Treasurer and Workshop Lead
Frieda has experience in finance and the cultural sector, and studied humanities and philosophy. Driven by her involvement with the sex-positive and tantra communities, she wishes to promote her values through this festival. On the festival day, she focuses on financial handling and managing the workshop tent.
