Proef de liefde is a non-profit festival for love, connection, and relationships outside the norm. We celebrate diversity in all forms. Think, for example, of Queer, Polyamory, or kink. We talk, learn, dance, and connect. By experimenting and exploring together, we challenge prejudices about one another and learn from one another.

At Proef de liefde, you can, for example, listen to panel discussions with a silent disco headset on, attend workshops in our workshop tent, view art or unwind in the sensory room, dance to DJs, be seduced by burlesque acts, be stimulated by spoken word, step through a vulva or stroke vulva rugs, buy beautiful things, or conversely, buy mean things, buy art for your home wall, learn more about sexual orientation and gender in a caravan, and much more.

This festival is for everyone who is 18+ and wants to learn, experiment, and connect with other people in freedom. No matter where you come from or who you are. As long as you are willing to open yourself up to new experiences, you belong here. This festival is organized for and by various relational communities. Think of the queer, LGBTQI+, kink, tantra, and conscious relating communities. Some overlap, but many do not. By organizing this festival, we hope to offer new encounters and experiences, and who knows what beautiful things might blossom from it!

Proef de liefde festival takes place on September 12, 2026, from 12:30 to 23:00. The festival is organized on the concrete slab of Beton-T. It is easily accessible by public transport, public transport bike, on foot from Utrecht Central Station, and by car. The address for navigation is: Kon. Wilhelminalaan 4, 3527 LD Utrecht

We have three price categories to make the festival as accessible as possible! You can buy supported tickets for 25 euros, regular tickets for 35 euros, and supporter tickets for 45 euros.

If you are on a tight budget, short on energy, or paying more isn’t convenient right now, choose the cheapest ticket. Are you financially well off? Then choose a regular ticket. Do you want to help us make the festival accessible to more people and do you have some extra to spend? Then choose the 45 euro ticket.

Tickets can be resold via Ticketswap. We have SafeSwap enabled, which means that the person buying your ticket will not see your name and details on the ticket but will receive a newly generated ticket.

Yes! We consider it very important that everyone can visit our festival. Regardless of origin, religion, disability, age (but 18+), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

Among other things, we provide a disabled toilet, first aid personnel who can help with emptying your catheter if necessary and who are familiar with neurodiversity, a social safety team and a sensory room for sensory de-stressing, wide paths at the market, and we provide ramps insofar as this is feasible at the location.

Come as you are or want to be! With us, you are free to dress and express yourself as you wish; please note, however, that this applies after the entrance. We therefore ask you to be vanilla until the entrance. After the entrance, everything is allowed except showing or displaying your genitals. Free the nipple!

We encourage self-expression, but unfortunately, the festival venue still requires us to adhere to certain decency rules.

The short answer is: No.

The venue runs the bar and provides an extensive range, including coffee and tea. Water taps are available at the flush toilets. You may bring an empty bottle inside and fill it with water on the festival grounds.

All food at the festival is vegan; gluten-free options are available, but we cannot offer 100% certainty regarding cross-contamination. To be on the safe side, we recommend contacting us regarding specific allergies. Bringing your own food is not permitted, but for specific allergies, we are happy to grant permission, which you can show to our security via email.

There are no lockers available. So it is best if your outerwear fits in your bag.

Taking photos and videos is not permitted. Not everyone is out of the closet, and not everyone feels comfortable appearing on the internet in their beautiful outfit.

If we sell enough tickets, we will arrange a photobooth where you can take a photo with friends as a small souvenir.

If we catch you taking photos or video footage with a phone, camera, or smart glasses, security will ask you to delete these photos and will verify this as far as possible, after which you will be denied further access to the festival. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding photography and videography.

We have a social safety team recognizable by their shirts and badges. If you feel unsafe, you can approach one of them. This team is trained to intervene in cases of sexual misconduct, but also to help our neurodiverse guests de-stress.

The social safety team can take you to the sensory area to de-stress and calm down, but they can also offer you a conversation or a hug if you need that to ground yourself.

Professional security is present. In the event of inappropriate behavior, they will be deployed to handle the situation further.
